How it Works
As an Employer of Record (EOR), Bridgewater TI handles the burden of payroll and HR administration for your Canadian talent. We navigate the complex web of provincial and federal employment and taxation laws for you and eliminate the costs and delays that can come with international hiring. Below is a high level overview of the process
Step 1
Proposal
Proposal
We'll ask a few questions about the role and your company, including salary, talent location, benefits etc. to prepare a proposal outlining the services we provide and costs to be the Employer of Record for your Canadian talent.
Step 2
Client Service Agreement
Client Service Agreement
Once you've agreed to the proposal, we prepare a client service agreement that outlines our working relationship, services provided and the costs and terms involved. Once this master agreement is in place, onboarding Canadian employees becomes a quick and easy process.
Step 3
Offer
Offer
We will work with you to craft a competitive offer for high-demand talent, one that is compliant with local laws and includes the benefits and paid time off that employees will expect.
- Extended health benefits (Dental, Health, Vision)
- Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP)
- Life, Long-term and Short-term Disability (LTD, STD)
- Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

Step 4
Employee Contract
Employee Contract
Once the employee has signed the offer letter, we will provide a province-specific employee contract, that explains the three-way working relationship, each party's responsibilities and outlines relevant employment laws and HR policies.
Step 5
Onboarding
Onboarding
Employees can be onboarded the same day the offer and contract is signed. Your talent specialist will walk them through the employee handbook, assist them in filling out direct deposit and tax forms, and set them up with benefits, RSP and insurance providers.
Step 6
Payroll Invoicing & Payments
Payroll Invoicing & Payments
Per the payment schedule, typically every two weeks, Bridgewater TI will request pay details and send an invoice for payment. Payment must be received BEFORE the employee will be paid. For a typical client, this only requires one or two interactions a month and less than an hour of time.
